چکیده
Definition: Genetic engineering, recombinant DNA technology and biotechnology – the buzz words you may have heard often on radio or TV, or read about in featured articles in newspapers or popular magazines. It is a set of techniques that are used to achieve one or more of three goals: to reveal the complex processes of how genes are inherited and expressed, to provide better understanding and effective treatment for various diseases, (particularly genetic disorders) and to generate economic benefits which include improved plants and animals for agriculture, and efficient production of valuable biopharmaceuticals. The characteristics of genetic engineering possess both vast promise and potential threat to human kind. It is an understatement to say that genetic engineering will revolutionize the medicine and agriculture in the 21 st future. As this technology unleashes its power to impact our daily life, it will also bring challenges to our ethical system and religious beliefs.

SimVerb-3500: A Large-Scale Evaluation Set of Verb Similarity
Verbs play a critical role in the meaning of sentences, but these ubiquitous words have received little attention in recent distributional semantics research. We introduce SimVerb-3500, an evaluation resource that provides human ratings for the similarity of 3,500 verb pairs. SimVerb-3500 covers all normed verb types from the USF free-association database, providing at least three examples for ...
متن کاملMHSubLex: Using Metaheuristic Methods for Subjectivity Classification of Microblogs
In Web 2.0, people are free to share their experiences, views, and opinions. One of the problems that arises in web 2.0 is the sentiment analysis of texts produced by users in outlets such as Twitter. One of main the tasks of sentiment analysis is subjectivity classification. Our aim is to classify the subjectivity of Tweets. To this end, we create subjectivity lexicons in which the words into ...
متن کاملGeneralized Biwords for Bitext Compression and Translation Spotting
Large bilingual parallel texts (also known as bitexts) are usually stored in a compressed form, and previous work has shown that they can be more efficiently compressed if the fact that the two texts are mutual translations is exploited. For example, a bitext can be seen as a sequence of biwords —pairs of parallel words with a high probability of cooccurrence— that can be used as an intermediat...
متن کاملYard crane scheduling in port container terminals using genetic algorithm
Yard crane is an important resource in container terminals. Efficient utilization of the yard crane significantly improves the productivity and the profitability of the container terminal. This paper presents a mixed integer programming model for the yard crane scheduling problem with non- interference constraint that is NPHARD in nature. In other words, one of the most important constraints in...
متن کاملRobot Path Planning Using Cellular Automata and Genetic Algorithm
In path planning Problems, a complete description of robot geometry, environments and obstacle are presented; the main goal is routing, moving from source to destination, without dealing with obstacles. Also, the existing route should be optimal. The definition of optimality in routing is the same as minimizing the route, in other words, the best possible route to reach the destination. In most...
